About this opportunity
The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for stops, train, and electromagnet components through a purchase order procurement mechanism. Specific product specifications, quantities, and detailed project requirements are accessible exclusively through DART's Bonfire registration system, requiring vendors to initiate the "Prepare Your Submission" process to view the in-browser BidTable and vendor response fields. All bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall quoted price, as DART does not accept FOB Origin or Prepay and Add arrangements. The procurement establishes that timely and scheduled deliveries are essential contract requirements, with failure to meet specified delivery rates and schedules subject to order rejection and default termination by the Authority. The proposal due date is April 20, 2026, with the opportunity posted on April 13, 2026. Vendors must comply with Texas Comptroller foreign terrorist organization lists and Israel boycott prohibitions, maintain equal opportunity employment practices, and warrant that all supplies meet merchantable quality standards and are suitable for their intended use. DART's standard payment terms are Net 30, calculated from the later of invoice receipt or order receipt.
The solicitation materials do not explicitly specify set-asides for disadvantaged enterprises, women-owned businesses, or other designated vendor categories, though interested bidders should review the complete Purchase Order Terms and Conditions document and supporting solicitation materials for any applicable restrictions or preferences. No incumbent vendors, current contractors, or existing infrastructure integration requirements are identified in the available procurement documentation. Similarly, no specific award values or budget ranges are disclosed in the posted opportunity, though the BidTable accessible through Bonfire registration may contain pricing expectations or budgetary parameters. All invoices must be submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org with supporting documentation including purchase order numbers, item descriptions, sizes, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. The procurement is governed by Texas law with exclusive venue in Dallas County, and the Contracting Officer retains written modification authority with equitable price or schedule adjustments if changes impact the seller's costs or performance obligations.
