About this opportunity
The State of Florida, Department of Legal Affairs, Office of the Attorney General (OAG) is seeking competitive proposals through a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Statewide Drug Takeback Pilot Program. The purpose of this program is to provide Floridians residing in underserved areas access to receptacles for the disposal of leftover or expired drugs at U.S. Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registered retail and hospital pharmacies. The OAG is soliciting proposals for the installation of a minimum of 100, but no more than 500, drug receptacles, with all receptacles to be installed by June 30, 2024. The initial contract term is from December 15, 2023 to June 30, 2024, with the potential for renewal. Proposals will be evaluated based on technical (75 points) and price (25 points) criteria, and the contract will be awarded to the responsible and responsive bidder determined to be the most advantageous to the OAG.
The RFP does not allow for negotiation of the standard contract terms, and the pricing will be scored based on the total proposed price, with the lowest total price receiving the maximum points. Subcontractors may be used for certain tasks with prior OAG approval. The total amount funded for the initial contract term is up to $1.475 million. The RFP does not mention any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond, nor does it list any incumbent vendors or current contractors.
