About this opportunity
The State of Maine Department of Administrative and Financial Services, Division of Procurement Services, is requesting quotations on behalf of the Maine Department of Transportation for thirty standard aluminum light poles, 40-foot overall height with round tapered shafts and cast aluminum anchor bases, with quotations due November 17, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time via the AdvantageME Vendor Self Service system.
Poles must comply with the 2015 LRFD Specification for Structural Supports for Highway Signs, Luminaires, and Traffic Signals and the 2020 MaineDOT Standard Specifications, including factory-installed vibration dampeners. The vendor must submit manufacturer's shop drawings, engineer's design computations signed by a licensed professional engineer, and warranty information on company letterhead. All deliveries are to Augusta, Maine with a minimum of two business days' prior notification.
Evaluation will be conducted on a best-value basis, considering conformity with specifications, delivery timeline, and lowest price among qualified bidders. The State reserves the right to negotiate the purchase of additional units from the selected vendor for six months following award and to not award to the lowest-priced bidder if documented poor performance or contract termination has occurred within the last five years.
Bid prices must include all shipping charges under FOB Destination terms and remain valid and binding for 180 days from bid opening. Quotations must include the completed Appendix A debarment certification form with wet signature, DocuSign, or Adobe Sign. The State is exempt from federal, state, and local taxes and anticipates payment on net 30 terms upon receipt of accurate invoices.
