About this opportunity

Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit District (SMART) is seeking sealed bids on repair of four existing reinforced concrete box (RCB) culverts at two locations, with bids due July 17, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Pacific time.

Work consists of installing a rebar cage inside each RCB, running a High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) culvert through each, and forming and pouring mortar to completely fill the RCBs. The culverts are failing at the ends due to settlement issues. Standard best management practices are required for mortar work; no environmental permits are required.

Access to the work sites is through St. Vincent property across signalized rail crossings and along an existing farm road where SMART holds an easement. The St. Vincent access road is private, narrow, and subject to a low speed limit, which may constrain equipment and material staging.

The work is performed in Sonoma County, California. No contract value, contract term, or incumbent information is stated in the source. No evaluation criteria or procurement timeline beyond the bid due date are provided.
