About this opportunity
The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for the procurement of torsion springs (Item 2098709) through a purchase order opportunity posted on April 13, 2026, with a bid due date of April 30, 2026. Prospective vendors must register with DART's Bonfire system to access complete project details, specifications, quantities, and the BidTable for submission. The procurement requires all bids to reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall price, and DART does not accept FOB Origin or Prepay and Add arrangements. Delivery schedules are critical to this procurement, as time and rate of deliveries are considered essential to the order, with seller failure to meet specified delivery requirements subject to rejection and default termination. Successful vendors must provide commercial warranties certifying that supplies are of merchantable quality and suitable for intended use in compliance with referenced specifications. All purchase orders are governed by DART's comprehensive Terms and Conditions, and payment will be made under Net 30 terms, with invoices payable 30 days from receipt of invoice or 30 days from receipt of the order, whichever is later.
While the provided documentation does not explicitly outline specific set-aside designations or restrictions limiting responses to particular business classifications, all vendors must comply with equal opportunity provisions and certification requirements established by DART and the State of Texas. Vendors must certify that neither they nor their affiliated entities boycott Israel and that they are not identified on the Texas Comptroller's list of companies with foreign terrorist organization contracts. The documentation does not identify any incumbent vendors, current contractors, or existing infrastructure requiring integration. No specific award value or budget range is disclosed in the available materials; interested vendors must access the complete Bonfire system and Supporting Documentation section to obtain financial parameters, detailed specifications, and all submission requirements necessary to prepare a competitive bid response.

In such event, the Seller shall be liable for damages, including the excess cost of reprocuring similar supplies or services or completing construction; provided that, if (i) it is determined for any reason that the Seller was not in default, or (ii) the Seller's failure to perform is without his and his subcontractor's control, fault, or negligence, the termination shall be deemed to be a termination for convenience under paragraph 12.
