About this opportunity
Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) in Dallas County, Texas, is seeking procurement of a torsion spring with the specific item number 2096650. The solicitation was posted on December 11, 2025, with proposals due by December 18, 2025. Prospective vendors must complete Bonfire registration to access full bid details and must submit bids reflecting FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall price. Delivery terms are considered critical, with DART emphasizing that failure to deliver at specified times could result in order rejection and default termination. Vendors must comply with DART's purchase order terms and conditions, which include detailed requirements for invoicing, payment processes, and performance standards. The procurement requires vendors to provide high-quality supplies that are merchantable and suitable for intended use, with comprehensive documentation and compliance with all specified technical requirements.
While no specific set-aside designations are explicitly mentioned, the solicitation includes provisions for equal opportunity requirements and certifications regarding foreign terrorist organizations and Israel boycotts. Vendors must be prepared to undergo inspections and testing to substantiate product conformance and must submit invoices electronically to APInvoices@dart.org with specific documentation requirements. DART's payment terms are established as Net 30, meaning invoices will be paid 30 days from receipt or 30 days from order receipt, whichever is later. The procurement allows for potential partial deliveries, with payments contingent on Authority acceptance. While no specific award value is provided in the available documentation, vendors should be prepared to provide competitive pricing for the torsion spring, understanding that all applicable federal, state, and local taxes are the seller's responsibility, though DART is exempt from Texas sales and use taxes.

In such event, the Seller shall be liable for damages, including the excess cost of reprocuring similar supplies or services or completing construction; provided that, if (i) it is determined for any reason that the Seller was not in default, or (ii) the Seller's failure to perform is without his and his subcontractor's control, fault, or negligence, the termination shall be deemed to be a termination for convenience under paragraph 12.
