About this opportunity
The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is seeking to procure a spring support fabrication pantograph component (Purchase Order 2098139) through this competitive solicitation posted on February 26, 2026, with a bid due date of March 6, 2026. The procuring jurisdiction is Dallas County, Texas. The specific deliverable required is the fabrication of a spring support pantograph, which is an essential component likely for DART's transit vehicle operations. Vendors must comply with all applicable Purchase Order Terms and Conditions established by DART, which govern the contractual relationship between the Authority and the Seller. Key requirements include FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall bid price, strict adherence to specified delivery time and rate schedules, and submission of invoices in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org containing detailed information including purchase order number, item descriptions, sizes, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. Payment will be rendered under Net 30 terms calculated from the later of invoice receipt or order receipt date. The Terms and Conditions document, available for download in the Supporting Documentation section, provides comprehensive evaluation criteria and contractual requirements that all bidders must review and accept prior to submission.
No specific set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise restrictions, or incumbent vendor information is explicitly detailed in the available procurement documents. However, all vendors must comply with mandatory equal opportunity employment practices and certifications regarding foreign terrorist organization affiliations and Israel boycott prohibitions as established in DART's standard Terms and Conditions. The seller bears the risk of loss until delivery and acceptance occurs at the destination, and DART reserves the right to terminate the order for default if the seller fails to perform provisions within specified timeframes or to terminate for convenience at its discretion. Inspection and acceptance procedures will occur at the destination unless otherwise specified. The specific contract award value or budget range is not disclosed in the posted opportunity materials. Interested bidders must initiate the "Prepare Your Submission" process and register in the BONFIRE system to access the detailed BidTable with project specifications and vendor response fields.

In such event, the Seller shall be liable for damages, including the excess cost of reprocuring similar supplies or services or completing construction; provided that, if (i) it is determined for any reason that the Seller was not in default, or (ii) the Seller's failure to perform is without his and his subcontractor's control, fault, or negligence, the termination shall be deemed to be a termination for convenience under paragraph 12.
