About this opportunity

The Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) is seeking the services of at least one qualified entity to conduct a study on the participation of minority, women, and veteran business enterprises (MBE/WBE/VBE) in the sports wagering industry within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The study must include recommendations for increasing racial, veteran, and gender diversity in the workforce in the sports wagering industry, including whether to set reasonable and appropriate goals and procedures for increasing the number of MBE, WBE, and VBE providing sports wagering industry-related services. The successful applicant should have experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods, diversity and inclusion research in the gaming and hospitality industry, and economic development analysis. The contract will have an initial 12-month term with a 1-year renewal option, and responses are due by September 5, 2023.

The MGC has set aside portions of the contract work for qualified MBE, WBE, and VBE businesses, and bidders must make a significant financial commitment to partner with one or more of these diverse businesses. The current incumbent contractors, if any, are not specified. The funding sources and requirements for this initiative are also provided, but the exact award value or budget range is not disclosed.
