About this opportunity

The Kentucky Department of Parks is soliciting up to twenty-five sponsorships for the 2026 Trail Maintenance Workshop, a three-day event scheduled for November 17–19 at Pine Mountain State Resort Park in Pineville, with sponsorship proposals due October 19, 2026 at 2:30 p.m. EST.

The workshop targets park naturalists, park managers, maintenance staff, personnel from sister agencies, and central office staff. Instruction covers trail building best practices, hands-on demonstrations, trail restoration projects, and team collaboration. The department seeks monetary donations, supplies, advertising, promotional items, and speakers or instructors.

Three tiered sponsorship levels are offered. Title/Gold Sponsor ($2,500) includes organization name and logo on signage and program, a speaking opportunity, gift certificates for four overnight accommodations and four golf rounds. Silver Sponsor ($1,000) includes name and logo recognition, three overnight accommodations, and two golf rounds. Bronze Sponsor ($500) includes name and logo recognition, two overnight accommodations, and one golf round.

Technical proposals are evaluated on a 100-point scale: responsiveness to the solicitation (20 points), sponsor background and compatibility with the Kentucky State Parks mission (20 points), and the nature and value of the sponsorship response (60 points). Responses must include three copies of a technical proposal in a sealed envelope with a signed solicitation cover page, title page with contact information, sponsor background, and a notarized affidavit. All sponsors must execute mandatory representations and compliance certifications regarding Kentucky law, boycott provisions, and lobbying prohibitions. Proposals are submitted to Jamie Bailey, Kentucky Department of Parks, Mayo-Underwood Building, 500 Mero Street, 5th Floor, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601.
