About this opportunity
The Kentucky Department of Parks, under the Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet, is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation seeking sponsorships for the 2026 Park Managers Conference scheduled for March 2-4, 2026, at Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park in Burkesville, Kentucky. The Department is soliciting up to twenty-five (25) sponsors to provide monetary donations, prizes, supplies, advertising, and speakers for the three-day conference, which will be attended by all park managers and key central office directors to develop revenue strategies and new tourism events. Sponsorship packages are offered at three levels: Title/Gold Sponsors contribute $5,000 and receive organization name and logo on event signage and program, a gift certificate for up to four overnight room accommodations at a state park, and a gift certificate for four rounds of golf at any state park; Silver Sponsors contribute $2,500 and receive name and logo recognition plus three overnight room accommodations and two rounds of golf; Bronze Sponsors contribute $1,000 and receive recognition plus two overnight room accommodations and one round of golf. Technical responses will be evaluated on a 100-point scale based on responsiveness to solicitation (20 points), sponsor background and compatibility with Kentucky State Parks mission (20 points), and sponsorship response offerings (60 points). Three copies of the technical response must be submitted in a sealed envelope to Jamie Bailey at the Kentucky Department of Parks, Mayo-Underwood Building, 500 Mero Street, 5th Floor, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601, with a deadline of 2:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on January 5, 2026.
The solicitation does not identify specific set-asides or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond, nor are there references to disadvantaged enterprise designations or incumbent vendors. There is no mention of existing infrastructure or technology requiring integration. Sponsors will be recognized through signage, program listings, and other advertising and commercial considerations throughout the event. The Department reserves the right to utilize the full amount of any monetary sponsorship for other expenses incurred during the conference. Potential award values range from $1,000 for Bronze Sponsors to $5,000 for Title/Gold Sponsors, with no specific total procurement budget identified beyond the solicitation for up to twenty-five sponsorships.
