About this opportunity

The Kentucky Opioid Abatement Advisory Commission (KYOAAC), attached to the Department of Law, is soliciting sponsorships for the 2024 Kentucky Opioid Abatement Symposium through a Request for Proposals. This in-person event will take place on October 21 and 22, 2024, at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville, with anticipated attendance of approximately 400 participants engaged in opioid abatement, treatment, recovery, and prevention initiatives. The procurement seeks Supporting Sponsors at a cost of $2,000 per sponsor, with a limit of 10 available sponsorships. In exchange for sponsorship, selected organizations will receive exhibit space at the event, sponsor logo placement on the registration website and event signage, inclusion of organizational informational materials in attendees' welcome packets, and up to two complimentary symposium registrations. Proposals must be submitted in hard copy format in a clearly marked, sealed envelope to the Office of the Attorney General, Office of Management and Budget, Attn: Michelle Lacy, 1024 Capital Center Drive, Suite 200, Frankfort, KY 40601, no later than 3:00 p.m. EDT on September 20, 2024, with no online or email submissions accepted. Evaluation of proposals will be scored on a 100-point basis, comprising responsiveness to the solicitation (10 points), sponsor background and establishment date including geographic reach and connection to opioid abatement work (10 points), and alignment with KYOAAC's mission (80 points). Selected sponsors must provide payment within thirty days of notification of the sponsorship award.

Organizations that have received opioid-related funding through the KYOAAC Grant Portal in 2023 or 2024 are ineligible for this sponsorship opportunity, representing a significant restriction on eligible respondents. There are no disadvantaged enterprise set-asides or incumbent vendor requirements specified in this procurement. The sponsorship shall not constitute an endorsement of the sponsor by the Commonwealth, and all selected sponsors must comply with state employment practices, nondiscrimination requirements, tax compliance statutes, and workplace safety regulations as specified in Kentucky Revised Statutes. The award value is fixed at $2,000 per sponsorship, with a maximum potential procurement value of $20,000 should all 10 available sponsorships be awarded.
