About this opportunity
The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for a Speaker, Radio, Cab Ceiling (part number 203-6037, procurement ID 2097603) through a purchase order process. The procurement is open to qualified vendors capable of supplying this specific component for DART's transit operations. The deliverable is a single product line—the speaker, radio, cab ceiling unit—with specifications and technical requirements to be accessed through DART's BONFIRE registration system. Key objectives include obtaining the specified equipment in compliance with drawings and technical specifications, with vendors required to perform inspections and tests to substantiate conformance. Evaluation criteria emphasize adherence to delivery schedules, as time and rate of deliveries are designated as essential elements of the order, with failure to meet delivery specifications constituting grounds for rejection and default termination. The proposal submission deadline is January 28, 2026, with BONFIRE registration required to access the detailed bid table and project specifications. Vendors must submit bids reflecting FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall price, as DART does not accept FOB Origin or Prepay and Add arrangements.
The procurement documentation provided does not specify set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise requirements, or restrictions on vendor eligibility. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the available materials. Integration requirements with existing infrastructure or technology are not detailed in the summary information, though vendors should anticipate that the speaker, radio, cab ceiling unit must integrate with DART's existing transit vehicle systems and specifications. Award value and budget range information are not disclosed in the materials reviewed. Payment terms are established at Net 30, with invoices submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org containing the purchase order number, item number, description, sizes, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. All purchase orders are subject to DART's comprehensive Terms and Conditions, which incorporate provisions for inspection and acceptance at destination, warranty requirements, equal opportunity obligations, and Texas law governance with Dallas County venue.
