About this opportunity
The state and local contract opportunity posted by Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) involves the procurement of speakers with an 8-ohm specification, referenced as bid 2094364. The procurement is located in Dallas County, Texas, with a bid posting date of August 11, 2025, and a submission deadline of August 14, 2025. Vendors are required to complete Bonfire registration to access detailed bid information and must submit their proposals through the platform's in-browser BidTable window. DART mandates that all bids include FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs incorporated into the overall price, and emphasizes that delivery timing is critical, with potential order termination for failure to meet specified delivery rates. Potential vendors must adhere to specific invoice submission requirements, including providing triplicate documentation with detailed line-item information, and will be subject to Net 30 payment terms. Bidders must carefully review the attached Purchase Order Terms and Conditions document, which comprehensively outlines operational and legal expectations for goods procurement.
The contract opportunity does not explicitly specify set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements in the provided documentation. However, the Purchase Order Terms and Conditions include notable restrictions, such as vendors cannot be on the Texas Comptroller's list of companies with contracts with foreign terrorist organizations and must not boycott Israel. The procurement is governed by Texas state law, with any legal disputes to be resolved in Dallas County. While specific award values are not disclosed, the procurement appears to be for speaker equipment, suggesting a potential moderate-scale technology or infrastructure enhancement project. Vendors must demonstrate compliance with equal opportunity employment commitments and provide comprehensive commercial warranties. The contract terms indicate that DART reserves the right to terminate orders for default or convenience, providing flexibility in the procurement process and ensuring alignment with the organization's operational needs.
