About this opportunity
The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for the procurement of spacers with specific technical specifications: one spacer at 1 mm thickness and one spacer at 0.5 mm thickness (Opportunity ID: 2096993). This procurement is open to qualified vendors capable of meeting DART's stringent delivery and quality requirements. The bid submission deadline is March 18, 2026, with the opportunity posted on March 11, 2026, allowing prospective bidders one week to prepare and submit their responses through the BONFIRE registration system. All bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall price, and vendors must comply with DART's standard Purchase Order Terms and Conditions. Deliveries must occur according to specified timelines and rates, as failure to meet delivery schedules constitutes grounds for order rejection and default termination. Vendors must submit invoices in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org containing the purchase order number, item number, description, sizes, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals, with payment occurring Net 30 days from invoice receipt or order receipt, whichever is later. All supplied materials must meet merchantable quality standards, comply with specifications, and be covered by the most favorable commercial warranties available to any customer.
The procurement documents do not explicitly identify set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise requirements, or restrictions limiting participation to specific organizational types, suggesting this opportunity is open to all qualified vendors meeting DART's standard contractual and performance requirements. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are referenced in the available documentation, and no specific budget range or award value is disclosed in the posted opportunity materials. Vendors are required to certify compliance with several statutory requirements, including prohibitions on foreign terrorist organization involvement, Israel boycott restrictions, and equal opportunity employment commitments. The procurement is governed by Texas law with venue established in Dallas County, ensuring all contractual disputes fall under the appropriate legal jurisdiction. Interested vendors must register through the BONFIRE system to access the complete bid table, project details, and vendor response fields necessary to prepare compliant submissions by the March 18, 2026 deadline.
