About this opportunity
The State of Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) is requesting bids for printing and delivery of 100,000 copies of the "What Every Driver Must Know" booklet under SOS-133, with bids due August 27, 2026.
The scope requires production of 92-page saddle-stitched booklets (88 interior pages plus cover) packaged in 1,500 cartons of 50 books each, banded in groups of 25. Cover stock is 80-pound gloss with 4/4 process color and bleed capability; interior pages are 50-pound opaque Soporset stock with 4/4 process color and no bleed. All booklets are standard letter size (8.5 x 11 inches). The vendor must supply a full-color proof before printing commences and provide electronic copies in source software format with all revisions, fonts, and images, plus PDF versions.
Delivery is F.O.B. destination prepaid to the DTMB dock at 7461 Crowner Drive, Lansing, Michigan 48913. The facility operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., excluding holidays. Drivers require entry passes from the front office prior to dock access. All shipments must include properly executed packing slips and notification of shipment details and expected arrival times. Vendors must comply with hardwood pallet specifications (single-face construction, maximum 4,000 gross pounds, two-way entry) and comprehensive carton labeling. An overs/unders policy prohibits underruns; overrun costs fall to the vendor.
Vendors must be pre-qualified and registered with the State of Michigan and capable of accepting Electronic Funds Transfer payments. All bids must be submitted online with complete freight costs. Pre-qualification processing takes approximately one week; inquiries should be directed to Andrew Hale at 517-636-0092 or halea3@michigan.gov. The State pays undisputed invoices within 45 calendar days of receipt or acceptance via EFT. No contract value, term, or anticipated award date is specified in the source materials.
