About this opportunity
The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) in Dallas County, Texas is soliciting bids for the procurement of petroleum sorbent pads measuring 34 inches by 38 inches, supplied in packages of 50 units, under contract opportunity number 2097739. The procurement requires bidders to register in the BONFIRE system to access complete details and submit responses through the in-browser BidTable. All bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall price, and delivery time and rate are essential to the order, with failure to meet delivery specifications potentially resulting in rejection and default termination. Invoices must be submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org and include the purchase order number, item number, description, sizes, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. Payment will be made on a Net 30 basis, calculated from either the date of invoice receipt or order receipt, whichever is later. The deadline for proposal submission is February 5, 2026, with the opportunity posted on January 29, 2026. Commercial warranties covering merchantable quality, suitability for intended use, and compliance with specifications are required from the selected vendor.
The procurement documentation does not identify specific set-aside designations or restrictions limiting bidder eligibility based on business classification or disadvantaged enterprise status. All sellers must certify compliance with applicable state and local requirements, including confirmation that they are not listed on the Texas Comptroller's list of companies with foreign terrorist organization contracts and a commitment not to boycott Israel. DART is exempt from Texas state and local sales and use taxes, and the final price must include all applicable federal, state, and local taxes and duties unless otherwise exempted. The solicitation does not identify any incumbent vendors or current contractors, nor does it indicate existing infrastructure or technology integration requirements. No specific award value or budget range is disclosed in the available documentation; prospective bidders should consult the complete BONFIRE registration details and supporting documentation for additional information regarding quantities, specifications, and pricing expectations.
