The product must meet FAA-approved specification SAE AMS 1431D, consist of 97% anhydrous sodium formate with no more than 1% corrosion inhibitors, be spherical in shape, and tinted blue for visibility. Bidders must be direct manufacturers or stocking distributors capable of 24-hour delivery following order placement. The contract term is one year from notice to proceed. All pricing must be fully loaded, FOB destination, and include shipping, handling, and administrative charges. The state reserves the right to make multiple awards and will award to the lowest responsive bid from a responsible bidder. Bidders are prohibited from including stipulations or qualifications; the MAA will reject non-compliant bids.
