About this opportunity

The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD), a special taxing district serving as a local government entity in Orange County, Florida, is seeking a contractor for the Solid Waste Transfer Station Admin Floors and Showers Project (Bid #C006713). The procurement is an Invitation to Bid (ITB) for comprehensive renovation work that includes constructing five new shower stalls, removing existing flooring, installing epoxy covering in various interior spaces (offices, hallways, break rooms, conference rooms, and bathrooms), conducting interior painting, and managing office furniture removal, storage, and replacement. The contractor must provide all necessary labor, supervision, materials, equipment, and permitting for the project. Bids will be submitted exclusively through the PlanetBids electronic bidding platform, with the bid due date set for October 16, 2025. All vendors must register on the BuyLocalNow platform to access supporting documents and submit bids, with document viewing possible without registration but bid submission requiring full vendor registration.

The bidding process includes specific preferences for local vendors, veteran small businesses, and opportunity zone businesses to encourage diverse participation. While no specific budget range was disclosed in the documentation, the project appears to be a targeted infrastructure improvement initiative for the CFTOD's administrative facilities. The electronic bidding platform emphasizes transparency and fair competition, with features that include new vendor registration, bid opportunity management, and insurance requirement tracking. The procurement appears open to various contractors capable of meeting the technical specifications and demonstrating the ability to complete the comprehensive renovation scope. No incumbent vendor information was provided, and the project seems to be a standalone improvement project for the district's solid waste transfer station administrative area.
