About this opportunity

The Brazos River Authority is requesting bids for solid waste collection and disposal services at Possum Kingdom Lake, with bids due October 13, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. The contractor must self-perform 100 percent of services and is prohibited from using subcontractors, brokers, or independent haulers, except for wholly owned subsidiaries under common ownership.

The scope covers weekly collection of front-load dumpsters (12 units of 3 cubic yards, 12 units of 6 cubic yards, and 1 unit of 8 cubic yards) and collection within three days of notification for 40-cubic-yard roll-off containers (approximately 13 units with 45 pulls annually) and 40-cubic-yard compactor containers (1 unit with approximately 5 pulls annually). Services support approximately 39 solid waste containers at public use areas, the village, RSMU facilities, convenience stations, and open trash areas within Possum Kingdom Lake boundaries. Pricing must be submitted on both monthly and annual bases for each of the five line items.

The contract term is one year with options to renew for up to four additional one-year periods, for a potential total of five years. The BRA reserves the right to award to the lowest responsible bidder and to reject any or all bids.

Before contract execution, all respondents must register with myCOItracking.com and submit compliant insurance documentation. Contractors must maintain comprehensive general liability coverage ($500,000 per person / $1,000,000 per occurrence for bodily injury; $1,000,000 per occurrence / $2,000,000 aggregate for property damage), statutory workers' compensation, automobile liability ($1,000,000 per claim/aggregate), employers' liability ($1,000,000 policy limit), and pollution liability ($1,000,000 per claim/aggregate). Required forms include W-9, Conflicts of Interest Questionnaire, Non-Collusion Affidavit, and Vendor Compliance to State Law form. The BRA is exempt from sales and use tax; respondents must exclude such taxes from bids. Failure to submit requested information may result in bid rejection or delay in purchase order issuance.
