About this opportunity
Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners Purchasing Department issued Request for Quotation (RFQ) #900435/SM on July 18, 2018, for the procurement of cleaning and hygiene supplies including soap, sanitizer, hand cleaner, dispensers, and refills under a term contract. The solicitation encompasses seven line items with specific estimated annual quantities: antiseptic hand soap (345 gallons), hand cleaner paste in soft bottle format (58 units), hand sanitizer in pump bottles (17,490 milliliters), hand soap with pumice (105 gallons), skin cleanser refill in bag-in-box format (1,699,200 milliliters), body and hair cleanser refill in bag-in-box format (190,400 milliliters), and bag-in-box dispensers (75 units). Responses must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. Palm Beach County Local Time on July 25, 2018, via fax or email. The contract will be awarded on an item-by-item basis to the lowest responsive and responsible quoter, with an initial term of twelve months or until the estimated amount is expended at the County's discretion, plus four optional renewal periods of twelve months each under mutual written agreement. Delivery must be completed within ten calendar days of receiving a purchase order, with delivery to the Palm Beach County Purchasing Warehouse located at 2455 Vista Parkway, West Palm Beach, Florida 33411 (F.O.B. destination). All quoted prices must remain firm for ninety days from the opening date and throughout all initial and renewal contract terms, with unit prices quoted to two decimal places inclusive of all supervision, materials, labor, transportation, and related costs.
Palm Beach County applies a 5% local preference to quoters with a permanent place of business in Palm Beach County or the Glades, and may award additional preference to vendors submitting drug-free workplace certifications. All vendors are required to register in the County's Vendor Self Service (VSS) system and must routinely monitor for published amendments. Vendors offering products other than those specified must submit manufacturer cut sheets and descriptive literature demonstrating compliance with technical specifications, and the County reserves the right to request samples to verify conformance with specifications and may return non-conforming items at the vendor's expense. No incumbent vendors or budget range values are specified in the solicitation. The County is tax-exempt and will issue purchase orders prior to delivery; all invoices must reference the applicable purchase order number and be submitted to the Finance Department.
