About this opportunity

The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) is soliciting bids on requirement contracts for vinyl composition floor tile installation in apartment developments located in Brooklyn neighborhoods (BK06 and BK07), with bids due November 10, 2026. This is a series of nine separate requirement contracts (RFQs 528343–528351), each covering a distinct development—Marcy Houses, Roosevelt I/Roosevelt II, Summer/Bed-Stuy Rehab, Tompkins Houses, Borinquen Plaza, Bushwick Houses, Cooper Park, Taylor Wythe, and Unity Plaza/LI Baptist. No bid security is required.

Each contract runs for three years from the award date or issuance of the Notice to Proceed, with NYCHA holding the option to extend for up to two additional one-year renewal periods at its sole discretion.

NYCHA has imposed a limiting award provision: only one requirement contract in this bid series will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible individual contractor under Step 1 evaluation. After Step 1, NYCHA may, at its sole and absolute discretion, award up to one additional contract to a contractor or contractors that has already reached the maximum number of awards under Step 1, subject to NYCHA's responsive and responsibility determinations. This structure constrains single-contractor concentration across the series.

The source does not specify an estimated total contract value, evaluation criteria beyond responsiveness and responsibility, a pre-bid meeting or site visit date, or a questions deadline. Place of performance is the respective development locations in Brooklyn. This solicitation is available through a competitive RFQ process; the specific technical specifications for vinyl composition floor tile installation and any set-asides or local-vendor preferences applicable to NYCHA procurements are not detailed in the source material provided.
