About this opportunity

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT), Southwest District, is seeking vendors to supply 1-2 remote controlled slope mowers on an as-needed basis through Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. IFB605SW21002095. The procurement is specifically for specialized slope mowing equipment to be delivered to MoDOT's Springfield, Missouri facility located at 3025 East Kearney. Vendors must submit detailed bids electronically through the MissouriBUYS Statewide eProcurement System by May 26, 2021, at 1:00 PM CDT, with the contract period extending from the award date through May 31, 2022. The solicitation will be awarded on a firm fixed pricing "low bid" basis, with all delivery costs, freight, and handling to be included in the unit price. Evaluation criteria will focus on meeting mandatory specifications, lowest price, and responsiveness to the bid requirements. The successful vendor must also provide training within 15 days of delivery, covering safe operation and routine maintenance of the equipment.

The procurement encourages participation from Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and Women Business Enterprises (WBE), with specific goals of 10% MBE and 5% WBE participation through subcontractors, suppliers, or joint ventures. Additional preferences are provided for Service-Disabled Veteran businesses and domestic product manufacturing, with a 10% price preference for goods manufactured or produced in the United States. The solicitation allows for cooperative purchasing by other Missouri counties, cities, and political entities, though MoDOT will not be directly involved in those transactions. There are no incumbent vendors specifically identified in the documentation. While no explicit budget range is provided, the procurement is for 1-2 units of remote controlled slope mowing equipment, suggesting a potential value range dependent on specific equipment specifications and vendor pricing. Vendors must also comply with the Domestic Products Procurement Act and the Anti-Discrimination Against Israel Act, particularly for contracts exceeding $100,000.
