About this opportunity
Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is seeking procurement of a specific mechanical component, a SLEEVE, PRESSURE, ACTUATOR, PBAF, 10" for a friction brake system, as detailed in solicitation 2096854. The contract opportunity was posted on December 9, 2025, with proposals due by December 16, 2025, and requires mandatory Bonfire registration to access complete bid details. Vendors must submit bids reflecting FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall price, adhering to DART's strict delivery requirements where time and delivery rate are considered essential. Invoicing must be completed through email (APInvoices@dart.org) with triplicate submissions including specific documentation such as purchase order number, item number, descriptions, sizes, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. The procurement process mandates compliance with DART's Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, which are comprehensively outlined in the attached PDF document. Successful vendors must meet all technical specifications for the 10-inch pressure actuator component and understand that failure to meet delivery schedules could result in order rejection or default termination.
While the solicitation does not explicitly outline specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises, it does include critical compliance requirements for vendors. The contract is governed by Texas law with venue in Dallas County, and sellers must certify non-involvement with foreign terrorist organizations and comply with Israel non-boycott provisions. Vendors should be aware that DART's payment terms are Net 30, with invoices paid 30 days from receipt or 30 days from order receipt, whichever is later. The contract requires vendors to warrant that all supplied items are of merchantable quality, suitable for intended use, and compliant with all product descriptions and specifications. Although a specific budget range is not provided, vendors must be prepared to offer competitive pricing that includes all freight and delivery costs. The procurement allows for potential contract modifications, with any cost or schedule impact adjustments subject to written claims submitted within 30 days of change order receipt.
