About this opportunity
The State of Florida, specifically the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB), is seeking a single-source provider for the procurement of the Digital StarLab Portable Planetarium products for fiscal year 2024-2025. The estimated not-to-exceed dollar amount for this single-source acquisition is $55,500.00. The justification for the single-source procurement is that Science Interactive Group owns the copyrights to the StarLab planetarium and has an exclusive software licensing and marketing agreement, making it the sole distributor of this product. This is not a competitive solicitation or request for bids, and the agency will make a determination based on responses from vendors that feel they can fulfill this procurement within the fifteen-business-day advertising period.
The contract opportunity is open to all interested vendors, but there are no set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The current incumbent vendor is Science Interactive Group, and there is no information provided regarding any existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration. The award value is capped at $55,500.00, and this is the only budgetary information available for this contract opportunity.
