About this opportunity
The Florida Department of Children and Families is seeking a vendor to continue providing innovative, data-proven simulation training techniques for child welfare professionals. The selected vendor will be required to build custom simulations that prepare trainees for the realities of child welfare work by offering real-life experiences in a safe environment. The vendor must utilize the Theory of Administrative Tethering and the "Good Call" Tool in this specialized training to meet the Department's quality expectations. Key deliverables include instructional design, videos, progress reports, fidelity monitoring tools, and training master trainers for simulation. The total funding for this two-year project is $2,953,165, which includes $917,885 for instructional design, $999,999 for deliverables to the Florida Institute for Child Welfare (FICW), and $1,035,281 for the second fiscal year. Proposals are due by October 26, 2023.
The Department has determined that REAL Academy is the only vendor capable of continuing the ongoing work and providing the required services, including child welfare simulation, technical assistance, practice-driven training, and a Learning Management System. There are no set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The incumbent vendor, REAL Academy, is the only eligible contractor as they are the sole provider of the specialized services and proprietary tools needed to meet the Department's requirements. The total award value is $2,953,165, which will be fully reimbursed to the Department upon completion of deliverables.
