About this opportunity
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is soliciting bids under Invitation for Bid 405-27R0002397 for 4,000 Sig Sauer P365 pistols with optics, with electronic responses due November 12, 2026 at 5:00 P.M. Central Time. Bidders must be authorized Sig Sauer law enforcement dealers in the State of Texas and must provide evidence of that authorization with their response.
The configuration is 9mm with a 3.1-inch barrel, Nitron black finish, X-Ray 3 iron sights, polymer grip, two 10-round steel magazines, and a ROMEO-X SIG-LOC mounted red dot optic. Pricing must be submitted on DPS's Mandatory Pricing Schedule, which represents the contractor's sole compensation. Bidders must submit financial documentation of their ability to perform, using audited financial statements for the last two years, D&B Business Information Reports, or alternative financial stability statements. Bids must acknowledge all addenda and remain valid for 180 days from opening.
Delivery is to DPS Headquarters at 5805 N. Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas 78752. The contract runs one year from the effective date of the purchase order or signing document, and DPS reserves the right to extend it for an additional six months if necessary. DPS guarantees no minimum compensation and makes no payment until the Contract Monitor approves the commodities and authorizes invoice submission. The contract is non-exclusive, and DPS may terminate for convenience with 30 days' written notice. Personnel requiring facility or confidential-information access must pass a fingerprint-based criminal history background investigation.
DPS will evaluate bids under the best value standard in accordance with Texas Government Code Section 2156.007, considering past performance through the Vendor Performance Tracking System and reference checks. Anticipated award is November 19, 2026. Responses go to DPS_Solicit_Response@dps.texas.gov or through the optional DPS Online Bid Room, where registration issues login credentials within two business days. Contract administrator Olivia Sungino can be reached at (512) 424-7437 or Olivia.Sungino@dps.texas.gov.
