About this opportunity

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for a shunt assembly pantograph component (Item No. 2098138) through this Dallas County, Texas procurement opportunity. The specific deliverable is a replacement or repair part for transit equipment, though the exact technical specifications and quantity requirements are contained within the restricted Bonfire registration system accessible only to registered bidders. Interested vendors must initiate the "Prepare Your Submission" process on the procurement portal to access the detailed BidTable, which contains project specifications and vendor response fields. All bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall price, and timely delivery is essential to the contract, with failure to meet delivery schedules constituting grounds for default termination. The submission deadline for this procurement is March 6, 2026, with the opportunity having been posted on February 26, 2026, providing a ten-day bidding window. All purchase orders are subject to DART's standard Terms and Conditions, which establish Net 30 payment terms from invoice receipt or order receipt, whichever is later, with invoices submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org.

The procurement opportunity does not identify any specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises, small businesses, or other protected classifications in the publicly available information. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are referenced in the posted opportunity details. The specific budget range or award value for this purchase order is not disclosed in the summary materials provided, though the nature of the component as a shunt assembly pantograph suggests a replacement parts procurement rather than a capital equipment purchase. Potential bidders should note that DART requires all vendors to comply with equal opportunity provisions, foreign terrorist organization certifications, Israel boycott policy compliance, and Texas tax exemption requirements as outlined in the comprehensive Purchase Order Terms and Conditions document. The Contracting Officer retains authority to make changes, terminate for convenience or default, and resolve disputes, with any appeals limited to a 30-day window following the determination.
