About this opportunity
The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for shock absorb end truck components (Item 2098713) through this state and local contract opportunity posted on April 13, 2026, with a proposal due date of April 20, 2026. The procurement involves the supply of shock absorber end truck parts, though specific technical specifications and detailed deliverables are accessible only through the BONFIRE registration system and in-browser BidTable. All bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall quoted price, as DART does not accept FOB Origin or Prepay and Add arrangements. Successful vendors must demonstrate the ability to meet strict delivery schedules, as time and rate of deliveries are considered essential to the contract; failure to meet specified delivery timelines constitutes grounds for rejection and default termination. Payment will be made on a Net 30 basis, calculated from either the receipt of invoice or receipt of the order, whichever is later, with invoices requiring submission in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org and containing specific documentation including purchase order number, item number, description, sizes, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. The contract is governed by DART's comprehensive Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, which establish performance standards, inspection and acceptance procedures, and compliance requirements.
The solicitation does not explicitly identify set-aside designations or restrictions limiting participation to specific enterprise categories based on the available documentation. Vendors must comply with standard contractual requirements including commercial warranties, equal opportunity employment practices, and Texas law compliance, as well as certifications that they are not identified on the Texas Comptroller's list of companies with foreign terrorist organization contracts and that neither they nor affiliated entities boycott Israel. No incumbent vendors, current contractors, or existing infrastructure integration requirements are referenced in the posted opportunity materials. The Contracting Officer retains authority to make modifications, terminate for convenience, or terminate for default, with default termination permitting recovery of excess reprocurement costs. Specific award values or budget ranges are not disclosed in the publicly available solicitation materials.
