About this opportunity

The Department of Enterprise Services is soliciting sealed bids on behalf of Spokane Falls Community College for demolition of Building 6 and site restoration at 3410 West Whistalks Way, Spokane, Washington (Project No. 2018-063 J), with bids due July 15, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. and a mandatory pre-bid walk-through on July 1 at 10:00 a.m. This is a public works project subject to Washington State prevailing wage rates and mandatory apprentice labor hours equal to 15% of total labor hours.

The scope encompasses full building demolition and site restoration. Bidders must submit Subcontractor Listing Form A (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical) with the bid; failure to submit renders the bid non-responsive. Form B (Structural Steel Installation, Rebar Installation) is due within 48 hours of the bid deadline via email to FPSsubcontractorlist@des.wa.gov or through the DES Public Procurement Portal.

The estimated bid cost range is $1.8 million to $2.7 million. Voluntary diversity goals apply: 10% MBE, 6% WBE, 5% SBE or PWSBE, and 5% Veterans. The successful bidder must register in the DES Diversity Compliance program (B2Gnow) at https://des.diversitycompliance.com.

Sealed bids are submitted through the DES Public Procurement Portal at https://deswa.bonfirehub.com. A virtual public bid opening will be conducted via Microsoft Teams at approximately 1:30 p.m. on July 15. Written questions should be directed to Iren Taran at ALSC Architects (itaran@alscarchitects.com); Project Manager Jeremy Griffin (jeremy.griffin@des.wa.gov or 360-790-7177) is available to address inquiries. Plans and specifications are available at no cost for digital documents through the Portal; two printed sets are available upon receipt of a $200.00 refundable deposit check payable to ALSC Architects.
