The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, supervision, and incidentals necessary to complete the work.
Each bid must be accompanied by an electronic bid surety bond equal to five percent of the total bid amount, submitted through the online clearinghouse bond management system. The successful bidder will be required to furnish payment and performance bonds complying with Louisiana Revised Statutes R.S. 38:2218 and R.S. 38:2219. Purchases are exempt from state sales and use tax under La. R.S. 47:301(8)(c)(i), with the successful bidder receiving tax-exempt status via Form R-1020.
A non-mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on November 10, 2026 at the Joseph S. Yenni Building in Elmwood. Drawings and specifications are available from T. Baker Smith, Amberlyn Walsh, at 6660 Riverside Drive, Metairie for $400.00 per set, with deposit refundable upon return within ten days of bid receipt. Geotechnical information is available on file; contractors may be required to conduct their own geotechnical inspection prior to work commencement. Late bids will not be accepted. Jefferson Parish reserves the right to reject all bids and bids for just cause.
