About this opportunity
The Fayette County School Food Authority (SFA) in Georgia is issuing an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for cafeteria serving line equipment and infrastructure at Sandy Creek High School. The procurement includes four serving counters with hot and cold wells, four custom cashier counters, two condiment serving counters, one beverage counter, decorative graphics and signage, and four milk cold wall coolers to be delivered to 360 Jenkins Road, Tyrone, Georgia 30290. All equipment must include a minimum two-year parts and labor warranty, with self-contained refrigeration equipment requiring a five-year compressor warranty covering parts only. Bids must be submitted by May 22, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with public bid opening at 11:00 a.m. the same day and contract award scheduled for May 29, 2026. Written questions from potential bidders must be submitted by May 1, 2026. The contract period runs from May 29, 2026, through May 29, 2027, with options to extend up to six months at the same pricing or renew by mutual written agreement. All bid pricing must remain firm for the entire contract period and is subject to escalation or de-escalation clauses based on verified third-party market indices, with all transportation and packing costs included and no separate fuel surcharges permitted.
The SFA will award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting all specifications and terms, with payment due within 30 days of invoice receipt following product inspection and acceptance. Successful bidders must submit evidence of debarment and suspension status, lobbying certifications for bids exceeding $100,000, proof of financial capabilities if requested, and comply with E-Verify requirements. The SFA reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and may disqualify bids demonstrating poor vendor performance within the past year or evidence of collusion. No specific set-aside designations, incumbent vendors, or budget ranges are identified in the procurement documents. The contract award is anticipated within approximately 60 days of the bid opening, allowing for equipment procurement and installation prior to the school year.
