About this opportunity
The state and local contracting opportunity is for a Service Line Inventory project in Clayton County, Georgia. The work involves furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor necessary to determine service line material through minor excavation "pot-holing" on all water services 2 inches in diameter and smaller. The project has a 120-day timeline for substantial completion, and sealed bids will be accepted until December 5, 2024. The project is proposed to be funded through a State Revolving Fund loan. The contract requires a "positive effort" to solicit and award subcontracts to minority and women-owned businesses for services and/or supplies. The bid prices must be provided in both words and figures on the proposal form provided, and a Utility Contractors License is not required for bidding.
The contract has specific requirements for the participation of minority and women-owned businesses. All participating in the program are required by contract condition to make "positive effort" to solicit and award subcontracts to these businesses for services and/or supplies. The project documents are available for inspection, and copies of the plans and specifications can be obtained from Turnipseed Engineers upon payment of a $50.00 fee. The City of Grovetown reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
