About this opportunity
The Chatham County-Savannah Metropolitan Planning Commission is requesting proposals for server backup and recovery services covering 25 production and business-critical servers, with proposals due October 1, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. and a project start and implementation completion deadline of November 2, 2026.
The scope encompasses assessment, design, implementation, documentation, monitoring, and ongoing support of a backup and recovery solution with both local and secure off-premises capabilities. The solution must protect Microsoft 365 data for approximately 30 to 35 users and include documented recovery procedures with agreed service levels. The MPC will provide on-premises backup equipment and storage; the proposer must supply, configure, and manage cloud backup services and off-premises storage assets, with MPC retaining ownership of all cloud tenants, subscriptions, and repositories. Proposers may offer Veeam Backup & Replication, Veeam Data Platform, or equivalent enterprise backup platforms and are responsible for supplying, procuring, and licensing all required software.
The contract term is one year with renewal options extending up to four total years, subject to MPC approval, fund availability, and satisfactory performance. Proposals must include itemized one-time implementation costs, first-year recurring costs, and annual renewal pricing through year four, billed in annual installments. No specific contract value is stated. Proposers must carry professional liability insurance of $1,500,000 per occurrence and comply with drug-free workplace requirements, non-discrimination policies, and Georgia state regulations.
Evaluation weights technical fit and backup capability (30%), security and ransomware resilience (20%), service levels and support (20%), cost and value (15%), implementation approach (10%), and provider experience (5%).
