About this opportunity

Dallas County's Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is seeking to procure truck level sensors through a time-sensitive procurement process. The specific solicitation, numbered 2096251, is scheduled for award on November 10, 2025, with a critical emphasis on both pricing and immediate product availability. Vendors are required to register through Bonfire to access complete bid details and must submit comprehensive responses including detailed delivery timelines. The procurement specifically demands sensors for trucks, with strict delivery terms where time and delivery rate are considered essential contract elements. DART will evaluate submissions based on a combination of competitive pricing and demonstrated ability to fulfill the order promptly. All submissions must comply with FOB Destination shipping terms, with freight costs integrated into the overall pricing structure. Vendors must be prepared to meet DART's stringent delivery requirements, understanding that failure to deliver as specified could result in order rejection and potential contract termination.

The procurement appears open to all qualified vendors, with no specific set-aside designations explicitly mentioned in the documentation. Potential respondents must be prepared to meet comprehensive administrative requirements, including submission of invoices with specific detailed information and adherence to net 30 payment terms. Vendors will be required to provide commercial warranties ensuring product merchantability and suitability for intended use. The contract terms are governed by Texas state law, with any potential legal actions to be adjudicated in Dallas County. While no specific budget range is detailed, the procurement suggests a preference for vendors who can demonstrate rapid responsiveness, technical capability, and competitive pricing. Notably, the contract includes provisions related to equal opportunity employment and contains specific clauses regarding business relationships, including prohibitions against transactions with foreign terrorist organizations. Vendors must be prepared to provide comprehensive documentation and meet DART's strict operational and legal standards.
