About this opportunity

Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is seeking procurement of a sensor for traction motor speed, specifically identified by the opportunity number 2097046. The contract opportunity was posted on December 10, 2025, with proposals due by December 17, 2025, and is located within Dallas County, Texas. Vendors must complete Bonfire registration to access full bidding details and must submit proposals through the platform's in-browser BidTable window. The procurement requires strict adherence to specific freight and delivery terms, with FOB Destination shipping mandatory and freight costs to be included in the overall pricing. Vendors must demonstrate capability to meet precise delivery schedules, as time and delivery rate are considered essential elements of the contract. DART will evaluate submissions based on compliance with purchase order terms and conditions, with potential for rejection or default termination if delivery specifications are not met. All invoicing must follow specific guidelines, including submission to APInvoices@dart.org with comprehensive documentation detailing purchase order number, item descriptions, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals.

While no specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements are explicitly outlined in the provided documentation, vendors must meet several key compliance criteria. Sellers are required to provide commercial warranty coverage comparable to their most favorable terms and must certify non-involvement with foreign terrorist organizations. The contract includes provisions affirming vendors do not boycott Israel, which may impact eligibility. Payment terms are standardized at Net 30, with invoices processed 30 days from receipt of invoice or order, whichever is later. Though a specific award value is not specified, the procurement appears focused on acquiring a specialized sensor for traction motor speed, suggesting a targeted technical procurement. The contract is governed by Texas law, with venue established in Dallas County, and DART maintains exemption from Texas state and local sales and use taxes. Potential vendors should carefully review the attached Purchase Order Terms and Conditions document to fully understand compliance requirements and contractual obligations.
