About this opportunity
The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for a position sensor (Item Number 2098343) through a competitive purchase order process in Dallas County, Texas. This procurement requires vendors to supply a position sensor meeting DART's specifications and technical requirements, with delivery terms that are essential to the contract performance. All bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall price, and vendors must provide commercial warranties guaranteeing merchantable quality, suitability for intended use, and compliance with product specifications. The submission deadline for proposals is April 17, 2026, with the opportunity posted on March 17, 2026, providing a 31-day response window. Interested vendors must access the detailed specifications and bid table through DART's Bonfire registration system by initiating the "Prepare Your Submission" process. Evaluation criteria emphasize timely delivery at the specified rate, as failure to meet delivery schedules constitutes grounds for rejection and default termination of the purchase order.
DART's standard purchase order terms and conditions establish Net 30 payment terms, with invoices due in triplicate and payment made 30 days from invoice receipt or 30 days from order receipt, whichever is later. All vendors must comply with equal opportunity employment practices, provide certifications regarding Foreign Terrorist Organization status and non-boycott of Israel requirements, and demonstrate compliance with Texas law. The procurement documentation does not specify set-asides for disadvantaged enterprises, incumbent vendors, or existing contractors, nor does it indicate award values or budget ranges; these details would be contained within the individual purchase order specifications accessible through the Bonfire registration system. Vendors are required to submit invoices to APInvoices@dart.org and must demonstrate their ability to meet DART's rigorous delivery standards and contractual obligations outlined in the complete Purchase Order Terms and Conditions document available in the supporting documentation section.

In such event, the Seller shall be liable for damages, including the excess cost of reprocuring similar supplies or services or completing construction; provided that, if (i) it is determined for any reason that the Seller was not in default, or (ii) the Seller's failure to perform is without his and his subcontractor's control, fault, or negligence, the termination shall be deemed to be a termination for convenience under paragraph 12.
