About this opportunity
The Town of Raynham, Massachusetts is seeking qualified contractors to demolish and remove the existing cedar clapboard siding, gutters/downspouts, wood trim, and soffits on the exterior of the Raynham Senior Center, and replace them with a new vapor barrier, 1" rigid insulation, vinyl siding, PVC trim, and aluminum gutters/downspouts. The existing windows are to remain and shall be painted on the exterior along with all new PVC components. Bids must be received by December 11, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. Site inspections can be scheduled prior to bidding. The contract will be awarded to the responsive and responsible bidder offering the lowest total price. Prevailing wage rates apply to this project, and bidders must provide a 5% bid bond, tax compliance certification, non-collusion statement, and affidavit of labor harmony and OSHA compliance. The bid pricing is a lump sum amount for the required services, and the Town reserves the right to cancel or reject any or all bids if it serves the best interests of the Town. The successful bidder will be required to provide a 50% payment bond within 10 days of contract award. An alternate line item is requested for the potential replacement of any damaged or rotted sheathing found during the selective demolition process.
The procurement is open to all qualified contractors, and there are no set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The Town has not identified any incumbent vendors or current contractors for this project. The available budget range for this project is not specified in the invitation for bids.
