About this opportunity
The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) St. Louis District is seeking qualified vendors to provide and install a complete self-serve vehicle wash equipment system at their Gray Summit Maintenance Building located in Pacific, Missouri. The procurement involves supplying a specific set of wash bay equipment, including a D&S mini stack unit (30"x36") for a single bay operation, a 5 HP single phase CAT 530 Pump capable of supporting multiple wash functions such as low pressure presoak, degreaser, high pressure hot soap, high pressure cold rinse, clear coat, and foam brush. The detailed specifications require two new wall-mounted stainless steel booms with high pressure wands, one stainless steel boom with a foam brush, a control unit, foam brush system, two stainless steel wand holders, and an 8-position stainless steel rotary switch with auto shutoff timer. The bid period runs from August 23, 2023, to September 13, 2023, at 10:00:00 AM CDT, with a mandatory pre-bid site visit available by appointment only through the Facility Operations Supervisor. The awarded contractor must complete the entire project by January 31, 2024, and the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting all mandatory specifications and requirements.
MoDOT encourages participation from Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and Women Business Enterprises (WBE), with specific goals of 10% MBE and 5% WBE participation through subcontractors, suppliers, or joint ventures. Service-Disabled Veteran (SDV) and Domestic Products preferences may also apply, with bidders required to comply with the Domestic Products Procurement Act and provide proof of compliance. The contractor must maintain specific insurance coverages, including general liability ($500,000 per person/$4,000,000 per occurrence), business automobile liability ($500,000 per person/$4,000,000 per occurrence), and workers' compensation coverage. MoDOT will provide the necessary infrastructure for installation, including a dedicated 120/240 single phase circuit, 3/4" hot and cold-water supply line with valve, and 1/2" airline. While no incumbent vendor is specified, the solicitation requires all equipment to be new and of current production. The contractor must also provide one hour of training after 5 complete operating cycles on the day of installation, and all removed equipment must be left onsite for MoDOT disposal. Payment terms are set at Net 30 days, with delivery FOB destination at the Gray Summit facility.
