About this opportunity
The Joint Municipal Authority of Wyomissing Valley is seeking bids for a comprehensive secondary anaerobic digester rehabilitation project located in Berks County, Pennsylvania. The procurement involves three distinct contracts: Contract One focuses on removing, cleaning, rehabilitating, and reinstalling the existing secondary anaerobic digester cover, including valve replacements and painting of internal infrastructure. Contract Two requires the rental of a belt filter press with an in-line grinder to process primary anaerobic sludge during the project duration, with operational costs managed by the owner. Contract Three involves cleaning the interior of the secondary anaerobic digester and hauling its contents, including liquid sludge and solids, to an approved disposal facility. A mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit is scheduled for September 17, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at the owner's office. Bids will be received online via the PennBid Program until 10:00 A.M. on October 7, 2025, with bid results available for viewing on the PennBid website. The project is designed to be completed between March 9, 2026, and May 22, 2025, with the successful bidder to be selected by the owner at a later date.
While specific set-aside designations or enterprise restrictions are not explicitly detailed in the provided documentation, the project will be managed by ARRO Consulting, Inc., located in Birdsboro, PA. The project's engineering and technical requirements suggest a preference for contractors with specialized experience in municipal wastewater treatment infrastructure rehabilitation. Questions regarding the bid will be accepted until 4:00 P.M. on the specified date, indicating a structured procurement process. The project is situated in the Wyomissing Valley area, with the owner's address listed as 701 Old Wyomissing Road, Reading, PA 19611. Although specific budget ranges are not provided, the comprehensive nature of the three-contract project suggests a significant municipal infrastructure investment involving specialized construction, equipment rental, and waste management services.
