About this opportunity
Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) has issued a procurement opportunity for SEAT, RETAINER, AIR HORN ASSY under solicitation number 2096634, targeting the procurement of specific vehicular components for its transit infrastructure. The contract opportunity was posted on December 9, 2025, with proposal submissions due by December 16, 2025. Prospective vendors must register through the Bonfire platform to access complete bid details and submit responsive proposals. The procurement requires strict adherence to FOB Destination shipping terms, with freight costs incorporated into overall pricing, and mandates comprehensive documentation including purchase order number, item descriptions, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. Vendors must submit invoices electronically to APInvoices@dart.org and comply with Net 30 payment terms. Delivery performance is critically important, with DART reserving the right to reject and terminate orders for failure to meet specified delivery schedules and rates.
While specific set-aside designations are not explicitly detailed in the provided documentation, the procurement appears to be open to qualified vendors capable of meeting technical specifications and operational requirements. Vendors must provide commercial warranties guaranteeing product merchantability, suitability for intended use, and compliance with technical specifications. The contract includes provisions requiring compliance with equal opportunity guidelines and certifications regarding non-association with Foreign Terrorist Organizations. Although precise budget ranges are not specified, the procurement suggests a focused acquisition of specific transit vehicle components. Potential respondents should carefully review the attached Purchase Order Terms and Conditions document, which comprehensively outlines DART's contractual expectations, performance standards, and potential grounds for order termination.
