About this opportunity

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is seeking bids for a left-hand transverse seat for two passengers without stanchion connection (Item 2099151) in Dallas County, Texas. This procurement requires vendors to submit sealed bids by May 12, 2026, with the opportunity posted on May 5, 2026. The deliverable is a specific transit seating component that must meet DART's product specifications and quality standards. Bidders must register in the BONFIRE system to access complete project details and the BidTable, where they will submit their responses in the in-browser bidding platform. All bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall price, and vendors must provide commercial warranties ensuring merchantable quality and suitability for intended use. Time and rate of delivery are critical to this procurement, with failure to meet specified delivery schedules constituting grounds for rejection and default termination. The evaluation will prioritize adherence to delivery terms, pricing competitiveness, and compliance with all contractual requirements outlined in DART's Purchase Order Terms and Conditions.

The procurement document does not specify set-aside designations for disadvantaged or minority-owned enterprises, nor does it identify any incumbent vendors or current contractors. All qualified vendors meeting DART's standards are eligible to submit bids. Vendors must certify compliance with equal employment opportunity commitments, confirm they do not boycott Israel, and verify they are not identified on the Texas Comptroller's list of companies with contracts involving designated Foreign Terrorist Organizations. Payment terms are Net 30 from the later of invoice receipt or order receipt date, with invoices submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org and containing the purchase order number, item number, description, sizes, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. DART is exempt from Texas state and local sales and use taxes, and all pricing must include applicable federal, state, and local taxes and duties. No specific award value or budget range is provided in the posted opportunity documentation.
