About this opportunity
The State of Georgia Environmental Protection Division (GAEPD) is seeking a qualified supplier to perform scrap tire abatement services in the Metro South region of Dekalb County. This procurement involves a competitive bid process for comprehensive tire dump cleanup, with suppliers required to submit price-per-ton quotes that encompass all aspects of site remediation. Specific deliverables include site preparation, scrap tire removal, transportation, recycling at a Georgia-approved processor, and site restoration and stabilization. The procurement requires a mandatory bidders' conference scheduled for September 10, 2025, at 8:00 am, located at the Montreal 2000 Office Park in Decatur, GA. Suppliers must provide a comprehensive quote that includes all associated cleanup costs, with award to be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting specified requirements. The solicitation is detailed in the eRFQ system, with a proposal due date of September 25, 2025. Bidders must carefully review all attachments, particularly Attachment E, which provides a detailed Scope of Work outlining specific project requirements.
The solicitation does not explicitly mention specific set-aside designations or restrictions on respondent types. While no specific disadvantaged enterprise requirements are noted, interested suppliers must be qualified tire removal and recycling contractors with capability to handle large-scale environmental remediation projects. The procurement appears open to qualified vendors who can meet the technical and operational requirements outlined in the solicitation. No incumbent vendor information is provided, and no specific budget range or maximum award value is disclosed in the available documentation. Interested suppliers must navigate the Georgia Procurement Registry system, attend the mandatory bidders' conference, and ensure full compliance with all procedural and technical specifications. Questions related to the procurement can be directed to the DOAS Help Desk at procurementhelp@doas.ga.gov or by calling 404-657-6000, with bidders advised to regularly review the RFQ for potential updates, addenda, or clarifications during the solicitation period.
