About this opportunity
The State of Georgia Environmental Protection Division (GAEPD) is soliciting bids for a Scrap Tire Abatement project targeting Metro East and Northwest regions. This procurement seeks a qualified supplier to address scrap tire dump sites through a comprehensive cleanup and recycling process. Suppliers must submit a price per ton quote that encompasses all project costs, including site preparation, tire removal, transportation, recycling at a Georgia-approved processor, and site restoration and stabilization. The procurement will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting all specified requirements. Two mandatory Offerors' Conferences are scheduled, with specific details available on the Georgia Procurement Registry. The solicitation was posted on March 13, 2025, with bid responses due by April 10, 2025. Interested bidders must navigate the electronic RFQ system, carefully review all attachments, and follow the detailed instructions for submission. Questions regarding the procurement process can be directed to the procurement help desk at procurementhelp@doas.ga.gov or by calling 404-657-6000.
While no specific set-aside designations or restrictions on bidder types were explicitly mentioned in the provided documentation, potential vendors should carefully review all qualification requirements. The procurement does not indicate any preferences for disadvantaged enterprises or specific organizational structures. The solicitation appears to be open to qualified vendors capable of meeting the technical and operational requirements for scrap tire abatement. Although a specific budget range was not disclosed, the pricing mechanism is structured as a per-ton rate, which suggests flexibility in project scope and potential total contract value. Bidders will need to demonstrate capability in tire removal, transportation, recycling, and site restoration, with the ultimate selection based on the most competitive and comprehensive price per ton quote. The two attached conference documents (SPD_SPR010_Conf Metro_East FY25 and SPD_SPR010_Conf Northwest FY25) likely contain additional details about the specific project sites and requirements.
