About this opportunity
Livonia Public Schools in Wayne County, Michigan is soliciting sealed bids for the procurement and installation of scoreboards at three high school athletic facilities: Churchill, Franklin, and Stevenson High Schools. The project encompasses a comprehensive package for scoreboard equipment and installation services across all three gymnasiums, with specifications including technical requirements for display brightness, viewing angles, display resolution, and environmental operating conditions suitable for indoor athletic settings. Bidders must submit proposals that comply with all specified dimensions, electrical requirements, display capabilities, and warranty provisions. Required qualifications include a minimum of three years of established experience in the scoreboard field and at least five references from school districts or companies using similar products or services. Vendors must demonstrate adequate bonding, insurance, and technical support capabilities to complete installation and provide ongoing maintenance services. The evaluation criteria include product quality, installation capability, warranty coverage, total cost of ownership, and compliance with the district's local preference resolution. A mandatory walk-through is scheduled for February 18, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. in Conference Room B at the district's central office located at 15125 Farmington Road, Livonia, Michigan, with sealed bids due by 11:00 a.m. on February 26, 2020, at the Operations Office. Public bid opening and reading will follow immediately after the submission deadline.
Bids must be submitted on district-provided forms and accompanied by three sworn, notarized statements: a familial disclosure statement, an affidavit of compliance with Michigan's Iran Economic Sanctions Act, and an equal opportunity statement. Bids submitted via oral, telephone, fax, or electronic mail are invalid. The district reserves the right to award the bid in its entirety or by individual line items and may award to other than the low bidder. Bids exceeding $23,230 require a bid bond or certified check equal to five percent of the proposal amount, made payable to Livonia Public Schools, indicating a potential project value in that range. All pricing must be firm for ninety days following the bid opening date and must include all delivery charges on an F.O.B. Destination basis. The awarded contract includes a two-year warranty and a three to five-year maintenance price agreement. The district is exempt from all state and federal taxes.
