About this opportunity

The Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Transit Administration (MDOT MTA) has issued an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for the sale, removal, and disposal of forty-five (45) surplus transit coaches (buses) on an "As Is - Where Is" basis. Bidders must bid on all forty-five (45) buses as a single lot, and the successful bidder(s) will have thirty (30) calendar days from the Notice of Award to remove the buses from MDOT MTA property, which may be located at either the Bush Street Maintenance Facility or the Northwest Division. There is no pre-bid conference, and bids are due on June 16, 2022 at 1:00 PM local time. The bid award will be made to the responsible bidder who submits the highest total bid price. Bidders must submit a 25% deposit of the total bid amount with their bid submission, which will be applied to the purchase price if awarded.

The Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Veteran-Owned Small Business Enterprise (VSBE) participation goals do not apply to this procurement, as no federal funds are involved. There are no set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond, and no incumbent vendors or current contractors are listed. The IFB does not provide a budget range or estimated award value for this contract opportunity.
