About this opportunity

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for a safety bar with oak and stainless steel end plate for trucks, identified as purchase order item 2098712. This procurement is posted by Dallas County, Texas, with a submission deadline of April 20, 2026. The specific deliverable is a safety bar assembly that meets DART's specifications for truck applications, though detailed specifications are accessible only through the Bonfire registration system and the in-browser BidTable after initiating the "Prepare Your Submission" process. Bidders must ensure all quotes reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall price, as DART does not accept FOB Origin or Prepay and Add arrangements. Delivery timelines are critical to this procurement, with time and rate of deliveries constituting essential terms, and seller failure to meet specified delivery schedules serving as grounds for rejection and default termination. All bids must comply with DART's standard Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, which establish Net 30 payment terms calculated from either invoice receipt or order receipt, whichever is later, with invoices submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org containing purchase order numbers, item descriptions, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals.

The procurement documents do not specify set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise restrictions applicable to this bid opportunity. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the available documentation. All sellers must warrant that supplies are of merchantable quality and comply with DART specifications, and must provide certifications confirming equal employment opportunity compliance, non-involvement in boycotts of Israel, and verification that the company is not listed on the Texas Comptroller's list of companies with contracts to Foreign Terrorist Organizations. The contract shall be governed by Texas law with venue in Dallas County. No specific award value or budget range is disclosed in the posted materials; interested vendors must access the complete project details and bidding specifications through the Bonfire system to obtain pricing guidance and technical requirements for this safety bar procurement.
