RQ957076 - Small Purchase - FY17 - OCTO - Warehouse Equipment

The District of Columbia's Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) has issued a small purchase procurement designated as RQ957076 for warehouse equipment in fiscal year 2017. This solicitation seeks to acquire specialized equipment for warehouse operations, with a narrow window for vendor response between June 12 and June 16, 2017. The procurement appears to be a targeted acquisition focused on specific warehouse technological or operational needs, though precise equipment details are not fully elaborated in the provided documentation. The short turnaround time suggests an urgent procurement process requiring rapid vendor mobilization and response. The contract opportunity is specifically managed by the District of Columbia's procurement systems, indicating a localized government acquisition process.

While specific set-aside designations are not explicitly detailed in the provided information, small purchase contracts often have implicit opportunities for local, small, or disadvantaged business enterprises. The procurement's brief documentation does not specify incumbent vendors or existing technological infrastructure requirements. Without additional context, the potential award value remains uncertain, though small purchase contracts typically represent more modest financial commitments compared to larger government procurement initiatives. The procurement's quick timeline and specific focus on warehouse equipment for OCTO suggest a targeted, potentially time-sensitive acquisition meant to address immediate operational needs within the District of Columbia's technology infrastructure.
