About this opportunity

The Town of Adams, Massachusetts is seeking design services for the proposed Outdoor Center at the Greylock Glen Resort through Request for Proposal (RFP) #17-003. The Outdoor Center is envisioned as an 11,000 square foot multi-purpose building consisting of a welcome/orientation area, exhibit space, classrooms, a concession area, and a Nordic Ski Center. The selected consultant team will be expected to provide architectural, engineering, and landscape design services and to work with the Town to refine the design concept, prepare schematic and construction documents, and provide construction administration services. Proposals are due on February 2, 2017, and the selected consultant team will first complete a schematic design phase, with the potential to move into a construction document and administration phase once funding is secured. The Town was able to secure a $5 million line item in a 2014 Environmental Bond for construction of the Outdoor Center. The RFP indicates that the selected consultant team must have expertise in green building and energy efficient design, with experience achieving LEED or Living Building Challenge certification. Proposals will be evaluated based on the qualifications and experience of the consultant team, responsiveness to the RFP requirements, past performance, and specific experience with energy efficient and healthy building design.

The RFP does not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The incumbent vendor or current contractor is not identified, and the RFP does not provide any information on the expected award value or budget range.
