About this opportunity

The Ellijay-Gilmer County Water & Sewerage Authority is seeking a qualified contractor to construct the Roundtop Booster Pump Station in Banks County, Georgia, through a competitive sealed bid process. The procurement requires a comprehensive installation of a new booster pump station, with the successful bidder responsible for furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials to complete the project. Specific project deliverables include associated piping, foundation work, grading, retaining wall construction, grassing, erosion control, painting, cleaning, disinfection, valves, fittings, and a flow meter installation. Bidders must hold a valid Georgia "Utility Contractor" license and employ a "Utility Manager" certification holder. Sealed bids will be received until October 15, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with a total project completion time of 300 consecutive calendar days. Qualification requirements include providing a bid bond or certified cashier's check for 10% of the base bid, and digital specifications can be obtained from QuestCDN.com for a $150.00 download fee under project number 9869544.

The contract does not specify explicit set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises. All bidders must register and participate in the E-Verify program and will be required to provide performance and payment bonds at 100% of the contract price if awarded. The Ellijay-Gilmer County Water & Sewerage Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities in the bidding process. While specific budget ranges are not detailed in the documentation, the requirement for a 10% bid bond suggests a substantial project investment. The project will be represented by Gary McVey, Director, who will oversee the procurement process. No incumbent vendors or existing infrastructure integration requirements are explicitly mentioned in the provided documentation. Contractors interested in this opportunity must carefully review the digital specifications and ensure they meet all technical and regulatory qualifications before submitting a bid.
