About this opportunity

Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is seeking to procure 1/2" stainless steel wire rope, specifically a 1000-foot reel, through a competitive bidding process. The procurement opportunity, referenced as bid number 2094834, is open to qualified vendors who can register through the Bonfire platform to access complete bid details. The solicitation requires vendors to submit comprehensive proposals that include the specified wire rope product, with strict delivery and performance expectations. Proposals must be submitted by September 17, 2025, with all bids required to reflect FOB Destination shipping terms and include freight costs in the overall price. Vendors must adhere to DART's precise invoicing requirements, which include submitting invoices in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org, with detailed documentation such as purchase order number, item description, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. The procurement emphasizes that time and delivery rates are critical, and failure to meet specified delivery conditions may result in order rejection or default termination.

While specific set-aside designations are not explicitly detailed in the provided documentation, DART's procurement process appears to be open to a broad range of vendors who can meet the technical specifications and performance requirements. The purchase order terms and conditions document suggests a commitment to equal opportunity employment practices. Vendors must be prepared to provide commercial warranties guaranteeing the merchantable quality and suitability of the wire rope for intended use. The contract will be governed under Texas state law, with any potential disputes to be resolved in Dallas County. Though specific award values are not disclosed, the procurement suggests a standard purchase order framework with Net 30 payment terms. Vendors should be aware that DART is exempt from Texas state and local sales taxes, and the agency requires comprehensive documentation and compliance with its detailed purchase order terms and conditions.
